Mets avoid arbitration with Bobby Parnell

Mets and RHP Bobby Parnell avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.7 million contract.
Parnell was arbitration-eligible for the first time and did pretty well for himself. The 28-year-old is probably next in line for saves this season with the Mets and is worth a late-round stash in mixed fantasy leagues because the guy in front of him (Frank Francisco) is not reliable.
