Yankees and RHP Joba Chamberlain avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.875 million contract.
Joba posted a 4.35 ERA and 22/6 K/BB ratio in 20 2/3 innings last season for the Yankees after returning from major elbow and ankle injuries. The 27-year-old right-hander was arbitration-eligible for the final time. If he's not locked up, he'll hit the free agent market in November.
