Patriots place Gronkowski on injured reserve
Rob Gronkowski - TE - New England Patriots
Jan. 17, 2013 - 5:10 PM ET

Patriots placed TE Rob Gronkowski on injured reserve with a re-fractured forearm, ending his season.

It was already well known that Gronkowski would be out for the season after re-fracturing his arm in the Divisional Round. As opposed to a knee or foot injury, the arm injury is not much of a concern for 2013. Through three NFL seasons, Gronk has established himself as the premier tight end in football -- by a landslide of a margin -- and he'll only be 24 years old next season. He'll be worth consideration late in the first round of '13 fantasy drafts.
