Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Lloyd are absent from this week's injury report.
We do believe we've seen a ghost. All three players had been "limited/questionable" fixtures on the Patriots' injury report since before the election, but coach Bill Belichick appears to be changing up his vague ways after taking heat for his handling of Rob Gronkowski's forearm injury. There are "just" seven players on the Pats' title game injury report after 18-20 was the norm down the stretch of the regular season.
