Welker leads Patriots with 131 yards in win
Wes Welker - WR - New England Patriots
Jan. 13, 2013 - 10:35 PM ET

Wes Welker led the Patriots with eight receptions for 131 yards on 13 targets in Sunday's Divisional round victory over the Texans.

Welker made up for a crucial early-game drop with a 47-yard over-the-shoulder grab deep down the sideline to set up Shane Vereen's 8-yard touchdown on the next play. Welker set the franchise postseason receptions record (59 in eight games, which had been held by Troy Brown (58 in 20 games). His 131 yards are also a career playoff high. With Rob Gronkowski out for the season, Tom Brady will have to continue to rely heavily on his favorite receiver against the Ravens in the AFC Championship game.
