Brady surges past Montana in playoff wins
Tom Brady - QB - New England Patriots
Jan. 13, 2013 - 8:15 PM ET

Tom Brady completed 25-of-40 passes for 344 yards, three touchdowns, and a 115.0 passer rating in Sunday's Divisional round victory over the Texans.

No Gronk, no Woodhead -- no problem. Brady leaned heavily on Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez, and Shane Vereen to embarrass Wade Phillips' secondary for the second time in six weeks. Only Joe Montana (45) and Brett Favre (44) have more postseason touchdown passes than Brady, who also surged past Montana (16) for most career playoff wins. After showing hit-or-miss accuracy early on, Brady uncorked perfectly placed throws of 47 and 33 yards to Welker and Vereen, respectively, to put the Texans away in the second half. Advancing to the AFC Championship game, Brady draws the Ravens against whom he passed for 335 yards and a touchdown in a 31-30 Week 3 thriller.
