Aaron Rodgers comes up short in playoff loss
Aaron Rodgers - QB - Green Bay Packers
Jan. 13, 2013 - 12:10 AM ET

Aaron Rodgers completed 26-of-39 passes for 257 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception and tacked on 28 yards rushing as the Packers fell to the 49ers in the Divisional Round.

Rodgers' glaring mistake was a second-quarter interception where he appeared to get lazy on a bomb attempt intended for Jordy Nelson. The pass was wildly overthrown and easily picked by 49ers CB Tarell Brown, who returned it 39 yards. The interception snapped an 183-pass string of pick-less throws by Rodgers. Rodgers did bounce back to even the score at 21 with a flat-footed rocket ball touchdown to James Jones from 20 yards out. San Francisco's dominance in time of possession and control of the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball ultimately spelled doom for Green Bay's season. Rodgers still finished as a top-three fantasy quarterback for the fifth straight season. Even with Greg Jennings and possibly Jermichael Finley departing in 2013, Rodgers' fantasy stock will remain status quo for next season.
