Pujols likely to play for Dominican in WBC
Albert Pujols - 1B - Los Angeles Angels
Jan. 12, 2013 - 11:50 PM ET

According to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com, Albert Pujols will participate in the World Baseball Classic for his native Dominican Republic, provided that his surgically-repaired knee continues to feel good.

Pujols underwent a very minor knee procedure in early October to relieve some mild pain that he played through during the 2012 season. His rehab has gone smoothly so far, but he'll probably opt to test the knee out during spring training before officially committing to play in the WBC. The Angels still owe him a total of $238 million.
