Jeff Francis will not pitch for Canada in WBC

Jeff Francis will not play for Team Canada in the upcoming 2013 World Baseball Classic, opting instead to focus on competing for a spot in the Rockies' rotation.
Francis was re-signed to a one-year, $1.5 million contract in mid-December after going 6-7 with a 5.58 ERA in 24 starts with the Rockies in 2012. He'd rather focus right now on his major league career than the WBC.
