Crawford cleared for baseball activities
Carl Crawford - OF - Los Angeles Dodgers
Jan. 12, 2013 - 2:55 PM ET

Carl Crawford (elbow) was recently cleared to resume baseball activities.

Crawford, who underwent Tommy John surgery in late August, expects to be ready for Opening Day. "He sounds pretty confident," manager Don Mattingly said. "In the next 30 days, as he starts doing more baseball stuff, he'll get a better feel for what he can do. He's still in rehab mode. I'm sure he's going to be a little behind."
