Chiefs hired former Eagles QBs coach Doug Pederson as offensive coordinator.
"Doug has been around the game a long time, and he has great vision," coach Andy Reid said. Pederson, 45, coached the Eagles' quarterbacks from 2011-2012, replacing Pat Shurmur in the role, and has been in coaching since the end of a 12-year pro career, primarily as a backup quarterback. Reid figures to call plays initially in Kansas City, but those duties could fall on Pederson if he continues his upward climb in the coaching ranks.
