A team "insider" tells ProFootballWeekly.com the Rams are "hesitant to cut a long-term deal" with impending free agent Danny Amendola because of his injury history.
"Insider" is an extremely vague term for a team source, but it would hardly be surprising if the Rams were uncertain about signing their No. 1 receiver to a long-term contract. Amendola has missed 20 of a possible 32 games over the past two seasons, and was usually playing through a nagging injury even when he did take the field. However, a team as receiver-starved as the Rams can ill afford to let their top wideout slip away. The franchise tag could be the most likely outcome.
