Jimmy Johnson: Trestman to get Bears job
Bears Offense - TM - Chicago Bears
Jan. 11, 2013 - 8:20 AM ET

FOX NFL Sunday analyst tweeted early Friday morning that it "looks like" Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman will be the next coach of the Bears.

"Looks like 2 of my guys getting NFL jobs," tweeted Johnson. "Chud Cleveland and my QB coach at U Trestman to Chicago." The Bears still have interviews scheduled for the weekend, so take this "news" with a grain of salt. If Johnson is correct, we like the hire for the Bears. Trestman has already succeeded as a head coach in the CFL, and his offenses have been consistently excellent in both leagues. A renowned QB guru who coaxed the best out of Rich Gannon and Scott Mitchell while leading the NFL in points scored with Steve Young, Trestman's hire would be excellent news for Jay Cutler. Trestman has been a West Coast offense adherent.
