Hamels past early-winter shoulder soreness

Cole Hamels experienced soreness around his left shoulder after a throwing session earlier this winter.
"We shut him down for a couple of weeks, but he's fine now," Phillies GM Ruben Amaro said Thursday. "He was being proactive more than anything else, which is good. We backed him off and slowed him down, but he's back throwing now and doing fine. He's had no complaints." It doesn't sound like a reason for concern at this point.
