Eagles interested in Notre Dame's Brian Kelly
Eagles Offense - TM - Philadelphia Eagles
Jan. 9, 2013 - 9:00 PM ET

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles are interested in Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly for the same position in Philadelphia.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer is hearing the same thing, saying the Eagles have "legitimate" interest in Kelly. However, the Notre Dame coach is out of the country this week. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that an interview has already taken place and the interest is "mutual." Kelly has recently shot down any rumors that he'd be interested in the NFL, but now that his season is over after a 42-14 drubbing at the hands of Alabama in the BCS championship game, the 51-year-old may set his sights on the big boy league. The Eagles struck out on fellow college coaches Chip Kelly, Bill O'Brien, and Doug Marrone last week.
