The San Francisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman reports that Brian Wilson (elbow) has completed his long-toss program and could throw off a mound soon.
So far, so good for the bearded closer, who has been told by Dr. James Andrews that he should be cleared for spring training and be ready by opening day. Schulman notes that the Giants are "still open to signing Wilson to a low base, high incentives" deal, but the righty is "keeping his deliberations on a new team close to the vest." He'll likely wait to sign until he shows teams he can throw off the mound with no issues.
