Vernon Davis: It's been a tough season
Vernon Davis - TE - San Francisco 49ers
Jan. 8, 2013 - 7:25 PM ET

Vernon Davis acknowledges that this has been "a tough season as far as just the feeling of being involved."

"It's not a bad thing, I'm not mad at it," added Davis. "It takes a little getting used to." Even though Colin Kaepernick leads the NFL with a 120.8 passer rating to tight ends, Davis has averaged just one catch per over the past six games. Coach Jim Harbaugh reiterated that Davis is drawing double coverage on almost every play, freeing up Michael Crabtree. "They're wary of getting beat by Vernon Davis," Harbaugh said. "I think that's the biggest, greatest share."
