Johnny Sauter's team penalized in Kansas

Johnny Sauter's No. 98 team is penalized as a result of rule infractions at Kansas Speedway.
The violations involved fuel cell modifications. Crew chief Joel Shear has been fined $10,000 and suspended from NASCAR competition until the completion of the next four truck events. He has been placed on probation until Dec. 31. The team has also been docked 25 championship driver (Johnny Sauter) and 25 championship owner (Mike Curb) points. The violations involving the No. 98 truck occurred in opening day inspection.-NASCAR PR
