Clancy Pendergast an option as Rams DC?
Rams Defense - TM - St. Louis Rams
Jan. 7, 2013 - 6:35 PM ET

University of California defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast is reportedly a candidate for the same job with the Rams.

Pendergast has been with Cal since 2010. Head coach Jeff Tedford was just fired last month though, so Pendergast will likely be shown the door as well. He was last in the NFL as the Chiefs defensive coordinator in 2009. Prior to that, Pendergast was the defensive coordinator with the Cardinals from 2004-2008. The Rams have widely been expected to make assistant head coach Dave McGinnis the DC, but there are said to be other candidates for the job.
