Marrone to make run at Pete Carmichael?
Saints Offense - TM - New Orleans Saints
Jan. 7, 2013 - 3:05 PM ET

According to Profootballtalk.com, Bills coach Doug Marrone "could" be gearing up to make a run at luring Saints OC Pete Carmichael away from New Orleans to be Buffalo's offensive coordinator.

Unfortunately for Marrone, this is a move the Saints could block per league policy because NFL teams can prevent assistants from leaving if they're not being pursued as head-coaching candidates. Per PFT's source, the Saints believe Carmichael will choose to remain in New Orleans as Sean Payton's offensive coordinator with the presence of Drew Brees as a decisive tiebreaker. Marrone and Carmichael worked together under Payton from 2006-2008.
