NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Bears will interview Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman for the team's head-coaching vacancy.
Trestman has coached the CFL's Alouettes since 2008. He's also credited with preparing Jay Cutler for the NFL draft back in 2006 and tutored Russell Wilson when he made the jump back to football at Wisconsin after leaving baseball. Cutler, of course, is now with the Bears. Trestman was last in the NFL as Dolphins assistant head coach/quarterbacks in 2004 under Dave Wannstedt. His best NFL work was in 1995 when Trestman was the 49ers' offensive coordinator and playcaller as the team led the league in points scored.
