Bears GM spends six hours with Mike Sullivan
Bears Offense - TM - Chicago Bears
Jan. 5, 2013 - 12:10 AM ET

Bears GM Phil Emery spent six hours Friday interviewing Bucs offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan for Chicago's head-coaching vacancy.

According to the Chicago Sun Times' records, the last time a Bears GM spent that much time with a head-coaching candidate, Jerry Angelo was turned down by Nick Saban in 2004. Emery is expected to have interviewed "at least seven" different candidates by the end of the weekend. Sullivan is squarely in the mix.
