Mariners want a starter

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Mariners are looking at starters but feel that Kyle Lohse is "too pricey" and are hesitant to give Joe Saunders three years.
They could be hoping that Lohse's price drops even more, as it's looking like the free agent right-hander won't get as much as it looked like he would earlier this winter. The M's are looking for a replacement for Jason Vargas, who they shipped to the Angels last month in the Kendrys Morales deal.
