Alex Bowman earns first career pole

Alex Bowman won the Coors 21 Means 21 Pole Award for the 17th Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 with a lap of 29.441 seconds, 183.418 mph.

This is the No. 99 Toyota Camry driver's first pole in ten NASCAR Nationwide Series races. It is his third top-10 start in 2013. Bowman is the third Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate to win the pole at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch (2004) and David Ragan (2007) also did it. This is Bowman's first ever start at the Fort Worth track.
