A person with "knowledge of the league's coaching market" tells the Washington Post at least two teams with head-coaching vacancies have "preliminary interest" in Redskins DC Jim Haslett.
The key word is "preliminary," but it's still a wild bit of news. Washington's defense performed well down the stretch despite myriad injuries, but was still a bottom-12 unit by most standards. Haslett has been a coaching nomad since being fired by New Orleans in 2005, going so far as to spend a year in the UFL. We highly doubt he'll draw anything more than cursory interest.
