Report: Gregg and Blake Williams out in STL
Rams Defense - TM - St. Louis Rams
Jan. 2, 2013 - 3:00 PM ET

Rams fired LBs coach/assistant defensive coordinator Blake Williams.

Williams ' the suspended Gregg Williams' son ' was a key part of the Rams' defensive-coordinator committee this season. He is believed to have called plays, at least early in the year. Yahoo's Mike Silver reports he was let go in part due to a "brusque, tactless style in dealing with colleagues and players." That's not a good look for a 27-year-old non-former player who only got his job because of his daddy. Per FOX's Jay Glazer, Gregg is also likely to be "gone" from St. Louis even if he's reinstated after the Super Bowl. The Rams could be considering naming assistant head coach Dave McGinnis as their defensive coordinator.
