Jones-Drew regrets not getting surgery sooner

Maurice Jones-Drew admitted that he should have undergone foot surgery sooner than he did.
Jones-Drew thought about going under the knife immediately after he sustained the injury in Week 7, but held out hope he could return. "It's just something that you learn from," he said. The Jags still won't reveal the exact nature of Jones-Drew's issue and coach Mike Mularkey doesn't allow his players to discuss the details of their injuries. All we know is he had foot surgery in Charlotte -- likely executed by Dr. Robert Anderson -- last Friday.
