Lions start signing players to future deals

Lions signed LB Carmen Messina, CB Conroy Black, OL Rodney Austin, WR Troy Burrell, WR Lance Long, WR Dominique Curry, WR Chastin West, WR Terrence Austin, WR Patrick Edwards, RB Devin Moore, DB Ross Weaver, and DB Lionel Smith to reserve/future contracts.
Both players spent the season on the Detroit practice squad and will fight for roster spots in the offseason and training cap. Messina was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Lions out of New Mexico. Black was signed as a rookie free agent by the Raiders out of Utah.
