Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said Terrelle Pryor "earned the chance for us to evaluate him some more" after he accounted for three touchdowns in Week 17 against the Chargers.
The regular season finale was Pryor's first career start and his first extensive action as an NFL quarterback. Oakland fell behind 24-7 due to poor special teams play, but the former Ohio State start brought the team back before ultimately falling short. Allen reiterated, though, that Pryor was auditioning as a potential 2013 backup, not starter.
