Jonathan Stewart inactive following setback
Jonathan Stewart - RB - Carolina Panthers
Dec. 31, 2012 - 3:10 AM ET

Jonathan Stewart (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's Week 17 game against the Saints.

Stewart sustained an ankle sprain in Week 12 and aggravated it within the last week. He ends up missing seven games this season after failing to suit up just twice in his first four NFL seasons. Stewart also set career-lows at just 3.61 YPC and two touchdowns. The rest of the Panthers' inactives: QB Jimmy Clausen, WR Joe Adams, LB James Anderson, OL Geoff Hangartner and DE Greg Hardy.
