According to Bill Center of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Padres have been talking to free agent Brett Myers.
The Padres haven't addressed their rotation outside of re-signing Jason Marquis and trading for Tyson Ross, and are looking at Myers as a starter. He would presumably be used as insurance with Cory Luebke recovering from Tommy John surgery. Myers has received interest from the Orioles and Twins this offseason. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported last week that the Padres are also among the potential suitors for free agent Joe Saunders.
