Bill Ladson of MLB.com reports that contract length remains the sticking point in negotiations between Adam LaRoche and the Nationals.
LaRoche is steadfastly holding out for a three-year deal while the Nats won't budge from their two-year offer. The Red Sox are rumored to have interest in the veteran slugger if they are unable to come to a suitable agreement with Mike Napoli, but as of now it doesn't appear LaRoche is any closer to finding a home for the 2013 season.
