According to Rob Bradford of WEEI.com, Mike Napoli has drawn interest from at least one team other than the Red Sox.
Napoli agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract with the Red Sox over three weeks ago, but an issue with one of his hips has prevented it from being finalized. While the 31-year-old has drawn interest elsewhere, he has yet to receive an offer since agreeing to the contract with Boston. The Red Sox have reportedly reached out to Adam LaRoche in recent days, leading some to speculate that they are trying to pressure Napoli into signing a revised contract. It's also possible that they view LaRoche as a fallback if the deal is torn up and Napoli signs with another club.
