Raiders placed DT Richard Seymour on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.
It means the 33-year-old veteran will miss exactly half of his 12th season. It's particularly poor timing for the former Patriot since he's headed toward the open market. Seymour was playing well before going down in Week 8, however, notching 15 tackles and three sacks while grading out as a top-12 defensive tackle in Pro Football Focus' ratings. Coming into 2012, Seymour had missed just four games since 2007. He should draw healthy interest in free agency, though he'll likely be limited to 1-2 year offers. He won't be back with the cash-strapped and rebuilding Raiders.
