Rudy Gay is a last-minute scratch from Wednesday's game due to personal reasons.
It's hard to believe this information didn't start trickling down until just before 8 p.m., which was game time, but that's what happened. Consider Gay day-to-day and look for Quincy Pondexter to start in his place. Gay is expected to re-join the team on Thursday and should be ready to go on Saturday against the Nuggets, assuming he isn't disciplined for failing to return to the Grizzlies from Christmas break in time for tonight's game.
