Dirk Nowitzki to continue to come off bench

Dirk Nowitzki will be coming off the bench for the foreseeable future, and Rick Carlisle said it would be a "process" to get Nowitzki back to form.
Nowitzki played 20 minutes in his surprise season debut Saturday, scoring eight points and grabbing six rebounds. He was noticeably fatigued as the game went along and likely needs a few more games before he can return to his normal role. With the Mavs playing three times in the next four days, expect Carlisle to limit Dirk's minutes while he gets back into shape and to keep from overworking his surgically repaired knee.
