Mike Adams dealt with ailment all season
Mike Adams - R - Philadelphia Phillies

Mike Adams has admitted that he dealt with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome all of last season.

"Last year was a struggle for me," Adams said. "The TOS was something that kicked in in early April. I didn't know what was happening. I thought I was just having some shoulder discomfort issues. The majority of the season I battled not having the same stuff I had previously." This would help explain why the reliever's velocity was down and he wasn't as effective in 2012. Adams, of course, eventually had surgery in October to address the issue. Assuming he returns at 100 percent, he could be in line for a big bounce-back season.
