Dickey trade might not get done until Sunday
R.A. Dickey - S - New York Mets
Dec. 15, 2012 - 7:20 PM ET

According to ESPN New York's Adam Rubin, the Mets and Blue Jays continue to work on a seven-player trade that would send knuckleballer R.A. Dickey to Toronto but the deal may not be completed until Sunday.

There's no official word on the reason for the hold-up, though it likely involves the Blue Jays discussing a contract extension with Dickey. Travis d'Arnaud has been confirmed as the centerpiece of the return package for the Mets, and Jays pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard has been mentioned as a possibility as well.
