Mets 'not happy' about recent Dickey quotes
R.A. Dickey - S - New York Mets
Dec. 11, 2012 - 4:50 PM ET

The Mets are "not happy" that R.A. Dickey expressed disappointment about contract negotiations at a holiday function, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

"In the context of the market you want what you think is fair," Dickey said Tuesday at Citi Field, where he was helping to distribute gifts to local children. "Even for me, what I feel we are asking for, I feel we are asking for even less than what is fair, because that is how it has been for me and this place." Dickey reportedly wants a two-year, $26 million extension and the Mets have reportedly countered at two years, $20 million. All of this drama suggests that trade talks might be rejuvenated.
