Packers coach Mike McCarthy expressed "hope" Monday that OLB Clay Matthews (hamstring) and FS Charles Woodson (collarbone) will be able to practice this week and play against the Bears.
Woodson has been out since Week 7 with a fractured collarbone, while Matthews has nursed a severe hamstring strain since Week 9. The return of Matthews and Woodson would be terrific news for a pass defense that has slumped for the past month. We'll know more about their availabilities as the week moves along.
