Coach Chan Gailey said Monday that Fred Jackson (MCL) will be out at least 2-3 weeks.
In other words, Jackson is almost certainly done for the regular season after taking a helmet to the right knee during Sunday's loss to the Rams. And with the Bills at 5-8, the playoffs are virtually out of the question as well. Jackson finishes with 437 rushing yards on 115 carries, a career-worst 3.80 YPC. By comparison, backfield mate C.J. Spiller is averaging 6.55 YPC on his 144 totes. Gailey will have no choice but to turn to Spiller as an every-down workhorse now. Tashard Choice will step in as a change-of-pace option.
