Dodgers, Hyun-Jin talks are 'not promising'
Ryu Hyun-Jin - S - International Player
Dec. 9, 2012 - 3:10 PM ET

ESPN's Jim Duquette hears that talks between the Dodgers and Ryu Hyun-Jin's representatives are "not sounding promising."

Duquette says the Dodgers would like to sign Hyun-Jin to a six-year deal with a lower average annual value, while the Korean left-hander's reps prefer a shorter deal that would allow him to reach free agency again sooner. The two sides have until 5 p.m. ET Sunday to come together on a deal. ESPN's Jim Bowden has reported that if the Dodgers don't sign Hyun-Jin, they could go after Anibal Sanchez.
