Newsday's Marc Carig reports that R.A. Dickey "increasingly appears destined" to remain with the Mets next season.
A source familiar with the situation told Carig that prospective offers for Dickey "aren't good enough," and that he's more likely to return with the Mets next season than be traded. Whether an extension is reached beyond 2013, however, remains to be seen. Dickey is seeking a two-year deal worth at least $25 million. He has held firm on his decision to not negotiate during the season.
