According to Yahoo Sports, new Browns team president Joe Banner is "lukewarm on the prospects" of Brandon Weeden "developing into a star quarterback."
Reporter Jason Cole came to the conclusion after speaking to "three NFL sources" about Michael Vick's potential 2013 landing spots. Cole lists Cleveland behind Buffalo as Vick's second most likely destination. It's doubtful many evaluators consider Weeden a future "star quarterback," so the question will be whether Banner believes he can be competent. If the new Browns regime views Weeden as backup caliber, they'll again be on the quarterback hunt this offseason.
