Ryan Palmer and Zack Fischer concluded regulation in 7-under-par 135. They headed to sudden death and matched eight pars before darkness mercilessly fell on Monday night. Returning to the course at 7:30 a.m. CT, they played another four holes before Fischer escaped, Palmer settling for first alternate from the site. Dallas residents Jordan Spieth, Edward Loar and Matt Weibring shared medalist honors at 7-under 134. Loar recorded consecutive eagles to polish off his second-round 64.
