Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com reports that Phillies are in "serious discussions" about acquiring utilityman Michael Young through a trade from the Rangers.
Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News was first to report that two teams were entering "advanced talks," and now Salisbury adds that Young "may be ready" to waive his no-trade clause for a change of scenery. The 36-year-old veteran would presumably start at third base in 2013 for the Phillies. He's scheduled to make $16 million next year and then become a free agent next winter.
