Tribe, M's, O's, BoSox, Giants in on Swisher
Nick Swisher - OF - New York Yankees
Dec. 5, 2012 - 4:30 PM ET

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Indians, Mariners, Orioles, Red Sox and Giants "have interest or potential interest" in free agent Nick Swisher.

Rosenthal is qualifying Boston's interest because they would have to move Jacoby Ellsbury to get into the mix. The Giants also appear likely to go with a low-cost platoon in left field after committing a combined $78 million to retain Jeremy Affeldt, Angel Pagan and Marco Scutaro. Swisher declined a one-year, $13.3 million qualifying offer from the Yankees in order to test free agency, so whoever signs him will have to surrender a draft pick.
