Twins have offers out to Saunders, Liriano

La Velle E. Neal III reports that the Twins have offers out to free agent left-handers Joe Saunders and Francisco Liriano.
Saunders and Liriano are two of "several pitchers" the Twins have made offers to. They are currently waiting to hear back on both. Saunders had a 4.07 ERA over 28 starts this past season between the Diamondbacks and Orioles while Liriano posted a 5.34 ERA in 156 2/3 innings between the Twins and White Sox. Seven other teams are reportedly interested in Liriano.
