Rays acquire SS Yunel Escobar from Marlins

Rays acquired SS Yunel Escobar from the Marlins in exchange for INF Derek Dietrich.
The deal is now official. Known more for his antics and poor makeup than his on-field ability, Escobar nevertheless could turn out to be a pretty nice acquisition for the Rays if they can keep him in line. He'll make just $5 million in 2012, and the Rays will have $5 million options on him for 2014 and 2015. He'll start at shortstop, with Ben Zobrist sliding over to second base.
