Scutaro gets 3-year, $20M deal from Giants
Marco Scutaro - 2B - San Francisco Giants
Dec. 4, 2012 - 11:40 PM ET

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Marco Scutaro has re-signed with the Giants on a three-year, $20 million deal.

Scutaro needs only to pass a physical before the deal becomes official. The Cardinals made a push for the veteran infielder, but it's unlikely they were going to go anywhere close to $20 million for him. Scutaro turned 37 just a day after the Giants clinched the World Series, so he'll play the final year of his deal at 39. It's the first deal longer than two years he's ever gotten.
